Statement The Multicultural American Patriotism
Project is a foundation dedicated towards the education and enlightenment
of the philosophy that we, arising from all nations, races and religions
should stand united as one entity, in an effort to promote peace
within our nation, consequently creating a chain effect of harmony,
tolerance and justice across the globe.
An
Important Message from the Founder of the MAPP
Our Proposition
In light of all the worldly suffering, the MAPP was established
with the intention of creating a bond between all the different
cultures, peoples, races and religions that reside across the United
States. As Americans, living, discovering and striving within this
land, it is imperative that we understand and respect one another
as human beings. Time and again, we experience and behold injustices,
intolerances and prejudices that occur all over this country, and
the only way to eliminate ignorance is to embrace and appreciate
our diversities. These beautiful set of cultures help to create
the rainbow of people that are scattered across our land, each carrying
hopes and dreams to a better tomorrow for themselves and their progeny.
When we share the same visions, we should be able to love one another
in a universal brotherhood and sisterhood.
This country is a patch work of many colorful, amazing countries—and
representatives from each of these countries have come to reside
here to work hard, preserve and build a life of happiness. Understanding
the multicultural nature of this country, a nation full of heritages
stemming from lands that cover the globe, will undoubtedly lead
to us having a better understanding of the world at large, and a
social sensitivity towards global issues that is vastly needed.
What is Patriotism
The MAPP defines Patriotism as it has always been, “Love
and devotion of one’s Country,” and the greatest show
of love of one’s country is to love the people that reside
in it, and to realize that we, or our ancestry, came from other
countries as well, and that we are truly a land of immigrants. Patriotism
is fighting for our right to be free, our right to disagree , and
to protect this right. America is built on the foundation of multiculturalism,
so true patriotism requires the embracing of one another as Americans.
Patriotism is not a government, a name or a politician. It is not
one color or one ideal. Patriotism is an understanding that every
human being that resides in America, is living off this land and
its resources, and that every person is working towards the fulfillment
of a dream, and that every man, woman and child has the right to
express themselves, the Freedom of speech, the right to liberty
and justice, and the freedom to dream. When we dream and grow together,
we will change the problems and issues that our country faces today,
and we will, consequently, create a chain effect that will propagate
and promote worldly peace, void of wars, injustice and destruction.
What We Do
The MAPP is proud to pioneer and support innovative events, literature
and learning tools that endorse and encourage healthy, revolutionary
dialogues about diversity and culture amongst all people residing
in the United States. We advocate educational programs and resources
for adults and children, of all ages and backgrounds, while facilitating
discourse and providing rich orientations regarding unity, tolerance,
and multiculturalism.
FACT: AMERICA IS A LAND
OF IMMIGRANTS
Did you know that most of us living in the United States of America
came from another country? Whether it was you, your mother, father,
your grand parents, or your great grand parents, our families traveled
from around the world, settled in America, and called it our new
home. We are bonded by the fact that we are all immigrants.
FACT: NATIVE AMERICANS
ARE THE FIRST PEOPLE OF AMERICA
The families of Native Americans are the only people that did not
travel to America. They were already here. They were the first to
live on this great land, and every single member of their families
were born here. Click Here for more information on Native Americans
